BEHIND THE LENS

My love for photography began at a very young age. Growing up, my parents used to document all of our family trips that my father then scrapbooked. It is always fun to look back at those old scrapbooks and reminisce about special childhood memories. I bought my first 35mm still camera at the age of 15, and since then I have learned to appreciate capturing once in a lifetime moments.

After taking photography at the College of Charleston, in SC I went on to study Film Production at Trident Technical College so I could always be around cameras that I had grown to love. I have been working as a Camera Assistant in NYC for over 9 years on feature films, commercials, music videos, TV shows, and documentaries. As I love working with people, I have continued portrait photography as a hobby. Since the births of my daughter Alex and son Jax whom have become my favorite subjects and are a joy to take pictures of, I have been especially enjoying maternity, newborn, and family photography.

I take a photojournalistic approach; natural light, laughs, playfulness and most importantly, creating a comfortable setting for those who I am photographing. I will travel to a location of your choice, may it be your home, your garden, the beach, a town, or the park.
